After receiving multiple calls and text messages on the subject , I am delighted to confirm that:

THERE IS NO TRUTH to the claim that I “will fight for a 3 dollar raise ONLY”

REALITY

Training

I am in port Elgin all week with the rest of the Union Leadership actively training. The focus is on bargaining and achieving the best and most lucrative contract possible.

I am exceedingly aware of the rising cost of living across the country , the $3 figure has NEVER crossed my mind.

It is never prudent to discuss numbers before bargaining commences. I remain cautiously optimistic that this upcoming contract will deliver major breakthroughs in terms of wages, pensions and post retirements benefits.

United we are unstoppable. We are the driving force behind proposals. It is up to us to tell the Company that we are not ready to yield .Please do not be discouraged by the current sociopolitical and economic climate. Better days are bound to come!

I will be at the airport next week. I will answer any questions you may have in person.
